Huxley’s Sleep Journey: From Front-Pack Naps to Independent Sleep
When I first connected with Haleigh, she described her little boy Huxley as a serial front-pack napper. To get him to sleep, she needed to sway, pat his bum, and play a particular song, thanks to Lily Allen’s ‘Somewhere Only We Know’ in a dark room. It was back-breaking work and left Haleigh with no time to herself.
Huxley was having up to five naps a day, with no consistency in timing or duration. His days would sometimes start as early as 4:30am.
When we began sleep support, Haleigh’s goal was simple:
“To have at least one nap a day not be a contact nap.”
Well, that goal was achieved on day one! It might have been a short nap, but it was a huge win and around here, we celebrate every single win.
After two weeks of consistent effort, following Huxley’s personalised sleep plan and staying patient through the ups and downs, this little guy made such incredible progress.
Huxley now sleeps in his cot for not one, but two naps a day and even managed an amazing 2-hour consolidated lunchtime nap!
A nap in the pram was something Haleigh thought would never happen. On her intake form, she even wrote, “He won’t go in the pram.” But just two weeks later, Huxley surprised us all with a successful morning nap in the pram. Even when the weather looked uncertain, Haleigh stayed positive, gave it a go, and it worked beautifully.
Huxley is now settling to sleep for his naps with minimal support, getting closer and closer to drifting off independently. There have been a few longer resettling periods, especially at lunchtime, but Haleigh stayed calm, found the positives, and kept her confidence high, and it’s paid off, big time.
She’s also handled off-routine days with ease, and Huxley has even had successful naps in a porta cot while visiting others, something that can be a big hurdle for many families.
At bedtime, Jordan has continued to take the lead in putting Huxley down, and once again, this little boy is showing just how capable he is, settling to sleep in his cot with little to no support.
Huxley’s journey is such a wonderful reminder that progress doesn’t have to be perfect to be powerful. With a consistent routine, a responsive approach, and parents who trust the process, beautiful changes can happen quickly.
Two weeks ago, contact naps were the only way to get any rest, now Huxley is confidently napping in his cot, sleeping longer stretches, and giving his parents a little more balance in their days and nights.

️️️️️ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Changed our lives forever
Working with Hannah has been the best decision we have ever made as parents. We are so happy to have reached out to her for support and are blown away by the results just two weeks with her can have on us as a family. Actually within 2-3 days we were blown away by her magic but it just kept getting better and better.
We genuinely couldn’t have asked for more. Her support and gentle, kind approach with baby, Mum & Dad were everything we needed and more. She didn’t just help our baby sleep - she gave us lifelong skills and confidence that we’ll carry with us well beyond this stage and for any future babies.
Pretty soon after starting with Hannah we watched our baby start to thrive on the routine she helped us establish. He’s happier and more smiley and settled, as well as Mum is, so we are both enjoying our days so so so much more. Which of course - helps Dad head off to work with a happy heart.
Ending our 2 week support with Hannah is bittersweet - it feels like a friendship break up and we’re so sad our time together has come to an end, but we feel so ready to continue on because of the incredible knowledge she has given us.
5 stars isn't enough for Hannah and her sleep support.
Thank you Hannah for everything you have done for our family. You have completely changed our lives and our entire house hold is 100 x happier thanks to you."
